This the small version of the Original Sunray Shadow. Designed for normal sub-surface fishing but also hitch fishing. The wing is partly bright blue bucktail and the top wing is hair from the Himalayan goat – This specific material is chosen from 100´s of goat hides – absolutely superior stuff

The size of this Sunray

This a 50 – millimetre fly…or small version – The tubing is 20 mm long – The tubing is 3.2/2.0 mm. thick – The tubing diameter is flexible due to the special nylon compound we have formulated – So bigger hooks than those we suggest could be used

Two forms of fishing

This size of our Sunray Shadow series can be fished as a regular sub-surface tube fly or as a riffling hitch fly by inserting the tippet through the hole in the belly.

Perfect sea trout fly

Here is a picture of a Sea Run caught on one of the Sun-Rays you sent me for my trip to Despedida Lodge in Tierra del Fuego Argentina a few weeks ago.—Fish were actually eating small Skuds (14 & 16’s), but this fish was hungry, and couldn’t resist an appetizing smaller Sun-Ray.
