We carefully select the best squirrel tails for our fly-tying business. Recently, we acquired a small selection of Eurasian red squirrel tails and are delighted to offer them to fellow enthusiasts who appreciate this exceptional fly-tying material.

Natural black squirrels from Russia, or Eurasian red squirrels (Scientific Name: Sciurus vulgaris), are widespread across the vast forest lands of Russia. Some squirrels are captured in traps, and their pelts are used for various garments. This species of squirrel comes in various shades of brown and black. Once highly sought-after in the fashion industry, this material is now less common.

We will list the tails in shades of black and brown as long as stock lasts.
