Superior hair for salmon and steelhead flies

A Fantastic Hide for Salmon and Steelhead Flies
We’re always on the lookout for premium fly-tying materials, and we didn’t hesitate to say yes to this remarkable hide from the animal known in the fly-tying world as the Arctic Runner.
Though Arctic Runner is something of a euphemism, the hair it provides is outstanding—typically 2 to 4 inches long, naturally tapered, and ideal for forming sleek, mobile wings on salmon and steelhead flies. It stacks beautifully and handles exceptionally well at the tying bench, making it a favorite among discerning fly tiers.
Special abilities
Arctic Runner is prime material wings on salmon and steelhead flies – The material ability to be shaped and cheat fish is well-known. Here I have tied 3 different sizes of my personal favorite Black & Blue.
