That may sound like a bold claim—and to be clear, it’s not the leader itself that attracts fish.

What the polymer leader does exceptionally well is translate the subtle swirls and currents of the river surface into fine, lifelike movement. These micro-movements travel through the leader and into the fly, bringing it to life in a way that’s hard to achieve with traditional materials.

This becomes especially effective when fishing small patterns, such as riffling hitch tube flies, where even the slightest movement can make the difference.

Avoid Shadows and Disturbance with Sinking Leaders…

Our preferred polymer leaders are all slow-sinking. We consistently choose these over floating leaders because a submerged leader casts far less shadow—reducing the risk of spooking fish.

At the same time, it minimizes surface disturbance, allowing for a more natural and discreet presentation.
